MDI-Mattanawcook Football August 27 [PHOTOS]

The MDI Trojans defeated the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx 38-30 on Friday night, August 27th at Alumni Field in an exhibition game in Bar Harbor. Although MDI won, the final score doesn't reflect the true game.

Mattanawcook Academy led 30-8 at the end of the 1st Half, as they scored on every possession. In the 2nd Half, with the reserves playing, the Trojans outscored Mattanawcook 30-0.

MDI was scheduled to play Washington Academy on Friday, September 3rd in the opener of the 2021 season, but the Raiders decided to not field a team because of the low numbers. They will either play a team who's opponent has COVID and cannot play, or will receive a bye for the week
