MDI JV Basketball Teams Sweep Scott C Jellison Memorial JV Tournament

It was a good day for the MDI Boys and Girls JV Basketball Teams on Saturday, February 9th, as both teams won the Scott C. Jellison Memorial JV Tournament held at Sumner Memorial High School in East Sullivan.

The JV Girls defeated Narraguagus High School in the finals 34-32 to win the Tourney.They finished the regular season with a 14-4 record, and after the Tourney, at 17-4

The JV Girls were coached by May Down and assisted by Bryan Maurais. Pictured above and playing  in the Tourney were Elena Alderman, Emily Carter, Rena LeClair, Grace Witham, Lexi Rich, Bailey Goodell, Abbie Farley, Maddy Ford, Olivia Joyce, Lily Philbrook and Hannah Joy. Not playing in the Tournament but part of the Team were Cassie Craig, Leah Carroll, Olivia Gray, Elizabeth Jones and Julia Perconti.

The JV Boys Team defeated Narraguagus in the finals 59-29. They too finished the regular season on with a record of 14-4 and were 17-4 after the Tourney wins.

The JV Boys were coached by Kyle McKim. Team members include Ethan Merchant, Dylan Robertson, Nick Corson, Maddox Laurendeau, Brady Renault, Grady Wellman-Webster, Hunter Gray, Nate Philbrook, Jack DaCorte, Marshell Reiff, and Manager Ashton Lozano. Not pictured was Jacob Peabody.
