With the start of the Fall High School Sport's Season on Monday, August 15th, and the Sport's Information Night on Thursday, August 11th, MDI High School Athletic Director has announced a series of coaching changes for the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons.

Fall Season
Varsity Girls Soccer Coach
Tyler Frank will replace May Chan. Tyler is coming over to the girl's program after coaching the boys for the last 8 years. According to Bunky Dow "Tyler is very knowledgeable of the community's and schools' expectations and brings many years of experience coaching soccer at the varsity level."

Cross Country Assistant Coach
Bryan Dionne will replace Aaron Long as the assistant coach for Cross Country Team. Bryan is the middle school Athletic Director at Connor Emerson and has been the Cross Country Head Coach and Middle School Head Coach for Outdoor Track for the Island schools.

Football Assistant Coach
Mark Arnold, former Head Coach will return as an Assistant Coach working with the offense. "Mark has been involved with football at both the high school and college levels and will bring insight to both the offense and defense strategies for each game.", according to Dow.

Boys Soccer Assistant Coach
Andrew Carlson has been the B Soccer Coach at Mount Desert Elementary School  for the last 3 years. He has also been the middle school, Outdoor Track Coach, for the last 5 years.

JV Golf Coach
Frank DeRevere will be coaching the JV team this season. "Frank has been a longtime golfer and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team."

There is still an opening for a JV Girl's Soccer Coach.

Winter and Spring Season
indoor & Outdoor Track Head Coach
Ezra Hallett will be replacing Aaron Long as the Head Coach for Indoor and Outdoor Track. "Ezra was a long-time assistant coach under Aaron and will be an excellent replacement for Coach Long. Ezra is always looking for new training concepts and ways to improve and provide for the students."

JV Boys Basketball
Scott Morrill will replace Kyle Mckim as the JV Boys basketball this season. "Kyle has been a long-time coach (Basketball & Baseball) at the high school for the last 10 years and will be missed greatly.  Scott has served as the freshmen coach for the last 5seasons and will move up a level to serve as the JV Coach."

Outdoor Track Assistant Coach
Owen Logue will return as an Outdoor Track Assistant after missing last year due to other coaching duties. "Owen brings many years of experience and is a welcome addition to the staff."

There are currently openings for 2 Indoor Assistant Track Coaches and a Freshman Boy's Basketball Coach.
