One of the positive things about the pandemic was the fact that there has been a revised perception of what a "Hero" is. There's been a greater appreciation of the front line workers... the healthcare workers.. the teachers... the grocery store workers. And quite rightly so!

MDI High School alum Peter Logue and Tailwind Media have produced the film "MDI Heroes" a film commissioned by MDI Hospital.

MDI Hospital is postponing in-person events until 2022 due to the continued presence of the pandemic.

In lieu of an in-person gathering this year, you are invited to join for the virtual world premiere of “MDI Heroes”, a film celebrating Mount Desert Island's local heroes of the pandemic and the incredible Mount Desert Island Community. The film will premiere on MDI Hospital’s YouTube page on July 17.

Please click here to RSVP to receive a direct link to the premiere prior to the event.

You can be an MDI Hero, too.

Your donation empowers MDI Hospital’s lifesaving work, now and into the future. Your gift will be put to work immediately where the need is greatest to support the innovative, compassionate care that MDI Hospital’s caregivers provide to the Mount Desert Island  community each and every day.

To donate today, please click here and select “Film Premiere” as the Designation.
