Colin Sullivan tossed a 1-hitter striking out 12 and hit a game-winning solo home run in the 5th inning as the MDI Trojans beat the Hermon Hawks 2-1 on Thursday afternoon, May 28th in Hermon.

Sullivan pitched 5.2 innings, allowing 1 hit and 1 earned run while striking out 12 and walking 7. Preston Tripp earned the save, pitching the final 1.1 innings. He held the Hawks hitless and struck out 3.

Mason Kinney was the tough-luck losing pitcher for Hermon. He threw a complete game, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs, both earned. He struck out 13 and walked just 2 batters.

Sullivan was 2-4 for MDI. Cameron Graham was 1-4 with a double and drove in a run. Ben Ingram and Alister Frongillo each singled.

Frongillo and Tripp each had a stolen base.

Eli Cormier had Hermon's lone hit. Connor McAlpine had 2 stolen bases.

MDI is 9-4. They will play at Dover-Foxcroft on Friday, May 29th against the Foxcroft Academy Ponies.

Hermon is 8-4. They will play a doubleheader in Presque Isle against the Wildcats on Saturday, May 30th.
