MDI Girls Postgame Interview [AUDIO]

Saturday afternoon, February 16th I went and spoke to the MDI Girls Basketball Team prior to their game against MCI in the Quarterfinals. They were nice and relaxed and I said to them I wanted them to all come over and talk to me courtside if they won.

They looked at me and said "What do you mean if we win? Way to have confidence in us!" I'm thinking to myself, I never want to jinx someone, and knowing the Girls had lost in the Quarterfinals for the last 4 years, I said, "When you win, I want everyone to come over and talk to me!" That's when they said "Everyone?" I said, "Yes, the whole fri...ng team!" which had them in hysterics.

Sure enough, the MDI Girls beat MCI 42-27, and as the team celebrated various TV stations and other media tried to corral the Girls. But, true enough, the entire fri...ng team came over to talk to me! Here's the post game interview!

MDI now 17-2 on the season will play the defending Class B State Champions, Winslow Black Raiders in the semifinals on Wednesday night, February 20th at 8:35 PM. Winslow beat Old Town 39-26 Saturday afternoon in the Quarterfinals. Winslow knocked out MDI in the 1st round last year.
