MDI Girls Beat John Bapst 44-38 [STATS]

The MDI Girls Basketball Team beat John Bapst 44-38 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Friday December 15th

MID led 9-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 21-20 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led 30-27 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Sophia Brophy with 15 points. Mia Shaw had 9 points including 7 points within 2 minutes in the 4th Quarter. Shaw had MDI's lone 3-pointer. MDI was 7-16 from the free throw line.

John Bapst was led by Stella Goetz with 12 points. Claire Gaetani had 11 points. The Crusaders had 4 3-pointers. Goetz had 2 3's, with Jayden Schoppee and Gaetani each draining 1 3-pointer. The Crusaders were 4-6 from the free throw line.

John Bapst is now 0-3. They travel up to Presque Isle to play the Wildcats on Tuesday night, December 19th at 6 p.m.

MDI is 2-0. They play at Ellsworth on Monday, December 18th at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame starting at 6:40 p.m.
