The MDI Girls Basketball Team got a little revenge on the Ellsworth Eagles, for their 53-46 loss on February 8th, beating Ellsworth 31-24 on Thursday, February 25th in Bar Harbor.

The score was tied 7-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Abbie Farley, playing her last regular season game at Bernard Parady Gymnasium scored the 1st point of the game, going 1-2 from the free throw line for MDI. Leah Carrol had 4 points and Emily Carter 2 points. For Ellsworth Jocelyn Jordan had a 3-pointer while Casey Carter and Samantha Carter each had 2 points.

MDI outscored Ellsworth 13-8 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 20-15 lead at the end of the 1st Half. For the Trojans Leah Carroll paced all scorers with 6 points. Elena Alderman had 4 points, Elizabeth Jones 2 points and Mollie Gray was 1-2 from the free throw line. For Ellsworth Jordan had her 2nd 3-pointer, Kylie Robidoux added 3 points and Autumn Paul had 2 points.

MDI increased their lead in the 3rd Quarter, outscoring Ellsworth 6-3 to make the score 26-18 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Leah Carroll had 4 points for MDI and Grace Witham added the other 2 points. For Ellsworth, their lone points came on a Morgan Clifford's 3-pointer.

In the 4th Quarter Jocelyn Jordan hit her 3rd 3-pointer of the night, and had 4 points in the Quarter for Ellsworth while Kylie Robidoux had 2 points. For MDI Elizabeth Jones had 2 points, Olivia Gray was 2-4 from the free throw line and Elena Alderman was 1-3 from the charity stripe.

MDI was led by Leah Carroll with a game high 14 points while Elena Alderman had 5 points. MDI was 7-15 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Jocelyn Jordan with 10 points while Kylie Robidoux had 5 points. The Eagles were 2-8 from the free throw line.

MDI finishes the regular season with a 7-6 season, and will likely host a play-off game on Tuesday or Wednesday, March 2nd or 3rd.
