MDI Football to Host Stearns Saturday September 4th at 4 p.m. Ellsworth to Host Houlton Saturday at 5 p.m.

The MDI Football Team was facing an open date this weekend because of Washington Academy's decision to cancel football this season, But, thanks to the work of Athletic Director Bunky Dow, and the fact that Stearn's game against Mount View was cancelled because of COVID, the Trojans will play host to Stearns Saturday, September 4th at 4 p.m.

This means that MDI and Stearns will play a home and home series, as the Trojans are set to play at Millinocket on Friday, September 24th at 4 p.m.

You can hear Saturday's game for free with the pregame starting at 3:50 p.m. on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.The game will also be broadcast on the MDI NFHS Page, (subscription required)

The Ellsworth-Houlton Football game will also be played on Saturday, at 5 p.m. from Tug White Stadium at Ellsworth High School. The game was moved from Friday to Saturday because of transportation issues with Houlton.

That game will be livestreamed on WHOU (subscription required).
