MDI Football Cancelled for Saturday [UPDATE]

2:45 p.m. - UPDATE - The MDI Football Game with Morse has been cancelled for Saturday, September 11th.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, Bar Harbor received 3.49 inches of rain since yesterday. The result... A very wet and soggy Alumni Stadium Field at MDI High School.

As a result, Friday night's scheduled football game between the Morse Shipbuilders and the MDI Trojans has been rescheduled until Saturday night, September 11th at 7 p.m. Our pregame on WDEA Internet Radio will start at 6:50 p.m.

Morse and MDI haven't played since 2009. In 2008 Morse beat MDI on a last minute kickoff return in the fog for the Eastern Maine Championships in Bar Harbor.
