The MDI Trojans Football Team fell to the Camden Hills Windjammers on Saturday night, October 2nd at Alumni Field in Bar Harbor, 32-8.

Camden Hills won the toss and deferred. MDI took the opening kickoff back to their 28 yard line. Unfortunately the Trojans fumbled the ball, and the Windjammers took over on the Trojan 44 yard line with 9:49 remaining in the 1st Quarter.

Camden Hills scored on a 7 yard touchdown bu Hunter Norton, but the touchdown was called back, because of a blocking in the back penaly. The Trojan's defense stiffened, and forced the Windjammers to turn the ball over on downs, with MDI taking over at their own 6 yard line, with 3:54 left in the 1st Quarter.

Camden Hills' Ryan Clifford picked off Spencer Laurendeau's pass, and the Windjammers took over on their own 47 yard line, with 35.4 seconds left in the 1st Quarter.

The 1st Quarter ended with a scoreless tie 0-0.

The Windjammers would march the ball down and scored from 2 yards out, with Hunter Norton running the ball in. The 2-point conversion was good, with the drive taking 6:59. With 5:26 remaining in the 1st Half, the Windjammers were up 8-0.

MDI took over at their own 24 yard line, but the Trojans were forced to punt. The Windjammers took over at their own 36 yard line with 2:29 remaining in the 1st Half.

Camden Hills scored, with Norton running in from 3 yards out with 49.5 seconds remaining in the 1st Half. The drive took 1:59 and the 2-point conversion was good to put the Windjammers up 16-0 over the Trojans.

MDI took over at their own 38 yard line with 45.4 seconds left, and time expired. The score at the end of the 1st Half was Camden Hills 16, MDI 0.

Camden Hills received the ball at their own 35 yards to start the 2nd Half, after MDI kicked the ball out of bounds. The Windjammers marched down the field, scoring on a 24 yard pass from Ryan Clifford to Hunter Norton. The drive took 3:13, and with 8:47 remaining in the 3rd Quarter Camden Hills led 24-0 after the 2-point conversion was good.

MDI's next possession ended with the Trojans turning the ball over on downs, and Camden Hills took over with 5:01 remaining in the 3rd Quarter.

The Windjammers scored their 4th touchdown of the night, when Norton broke a 75 yard run to score. The 2-point conversion was good, and Camden Hills led 32-0

MDI's next possession ended with them turning the ball over on downs. with Camden Hills taking over at their own 30 yard line with 3:31 left in the 3rd Quarter.

MDI's defense forced Camden Hills to punt, and the Trojans took over at the Camden Hills 48 yard line with 11:39 remaining in the game.

MDI finally scored with Jacob Shields breaking a 53 yard touchdown run. The 2-point conversion was good, and MDI trailed 32-8

The Windjammers and Trojans turned the ball over on downs in the next 3-series before MDI got the ball with 3:28 left but time expired before they could score.

The final score was 32-8

MDI is now 1-3 and will play at Waterville Saturday, October 10th at 1 p.m. That game will be broadcast on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Camden Hills is 3-1 and will play host to Morse on Friday, October 8th.
