MDI-Ellsworth Football Playoffs Friday October 22

After not playing each other ever in 50 years in a regular season football game, prior to last Friday, October 15th, the MDI Trojans and Ellsworth Eagles are set to renew their rivalry this Friday, October 22nd, this time in the Large 8-Man Football Playoffs.

The game will kick off at Alumni Field in Bar Harbor, at 7 p.m.

MDI finished the 2021 regular season with a record of 2-4, good enough for 4th place in the Crabtree Standings. They had victories over Ellsworth and Orono.

Ellsworth finished the 2021 regular season with a record of 0-3, which placed them 5th in the Crabtree Standings.

The winner of the MDI-Ellsworth game will take on the top seeded Waterville Panthers in Waterville on Saturday, October 30th at 1 p.m.
