MDI Cheering’s Adventure In Traveling to Caribou

As a result of the inclement weather forecast for tomorrow, Saturday, January 13th, the Big East Cheering Competition in Caribou was moved forward a day, to today, Friday January 12th. The MDI Trojans left the Island at 10:30 this morning in a coach bus!

Now you think, coach bus, that's traveling in style! But, the Trojans are turning around and coming back tonight after the competition is over, and won't arrive back to the High School until about 2 in the morning.

What should have been a comfy ride turned into a little bit of a nightmare, as the door to the roof blew off, and the drive had to go and retrieve the door. The Trojans then had to stop in Houlton while the repairs were made. They finally arrived in Caribou around 3:30 this afternoon!

It's always something when you travel to Caribou. It was a couple of years ago that one of the two yellow school buses developed an issue and we had to combine the JV and Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball Teams on one bus. Talk about not needing the heat as there was plenty of body heat, unfortunately there was plenty of body odor as no one had showered post game!

All right Trojans.... use the experience and get ready to bring it! I know they were watching Bringing It On during their journey!
