MDI-Bucksport Unified Bbll

The MDI and Bucksport Unified Basketball Teams closed out their regular season in Bar Harbor at Bernard Parady Gymnasium on Wednesday, March 8th with the Golden Bucks tipping the Trojans 64-60. Like all Unified Games, the game was back and forth with tons of high fives and examples of great sportsmanship.

For Bucksport Jacob Pyles 18 points, Nick Johnson had 14 points, Mason Dale had 13 points with 3 3-pointers. Quincy Howes Mosher had 8 points as did Charlie Wascott. Ben McDonald had a 3-pointer.

For MDI Nellie Page had 14 points, Cameron Swan and Zach Johnson had 10 points each. Jacob Fallica had 9 points including a 3-pointer,  Sara St. Clair had 8 points, Aaraon Lichenstein had 4 points and Isaac Philbrook had a 3-pointer.  Faith Mithcell had 2 points.

Congratulations to all the Unified athletes, their partners, families, friends and fans on a fantastic season.

This was Bucksport High School's 1st season and MDI' 2nd season. The growth of Unified Basketball from year 1 to 2 has been huge, and I look forward to even more schools participating in this program next year!
