MDI Boys Soccer Beats Foxcroft Academy 3-1 on Senior Recognition Day

On a cold, raw Saturday afternoon, the MDI Boys Soccer Team beat Foxcroft Academy 3-1, on Senior Recognition Day in Bar Harbor. It was the last regular season home game for Fernando Jose Avalos Casamayouret, Derek Collin, Israel Del orbe De La Cruz, Nick Duley, Ryan Kelly, Oliver Johnston, September Murray, and Deandre Reid.

MDI took a 1-0 lead when September Murray scored assisted by Reider Watson with 31:12 left in the 1st Half.

Foxcroft Academy tied it 1-1 when Shadane Hamilton scored assisted by Cody Tetlow with 18:23 remaining in the Half.

MDI took the lead, when Reider Watson scored from a free kick with 27:35 remaining in the game.

September Murray scored his 2nd goal of the game with 3:41 remaining with an assist from Nick Duley.

Ivan Andros played in goal the 1st Half, and Nate Philbrook the 2nd Half for MDI and Lucas Ames was in net for the Ponies.

MDI is 5-6-2 with 1 game remaining, at Ellsworth on Monday, October 15th at 6PM.

Foxcroft Academy is 4-9 with 1 game remaining, at home against Mount View on Monday, October 15th at 4PM.
