What a difference three weeks makes! After getting blown out in East Machias on September 6th 7-0, the MDI Trojans Boy's Soccer Team played host to Washington Academy on Wednesday, September 27th, losing 2-0 in a very competitive game in Bar Harbor. MDI held the unbeaten Red Raiders scoreless for almost 30 minutes, before Washington Academy's Khairi Haywards found the back of the net twice. His first goal was scored off of a corner kick with 10:48 left and then broke through the MDI defense to score the final goal of the game with 1:41 left in the 1st Half.

The MDI defense had a second half shutout.

MDI, now 2-7 plays in Blue Hill against George Stevens Academy on Wednesday, October 4th at 4 PM.

Washington Academy, 8-0, plays host to Presque Isle on Monday, October 2nd at 4 PM.
