MDI Boys Battle to a 3-3 Draw with Hermon
The MDI Boys Soccer Team battled to a 3-3 draw with the Hermon Hawks in Bar Harbor on Monday, September 10th.
Hermon took the early lead at 36:39 when Wyatt Butler scored. MDI tied the score 1-1 when September Murray scored with 25:16 remaining in the 1st Half. MDI made it 2-1 at the end of the 1st Half when Fernando Jose Avalo scored, assisted by Oliver Johnston.
Butler scored his 2nd goal of the night to tie the score with 36:39 remaining in the Half. Hermon took the lead 3-2 as John Snyer converted a penalty kick with 34:01 remaining. MDI knotted the score at 3-3 when Oliver Johnston scored
Nate Philbrook played in goal for MDI for the 1st Half and 2 minutes into the 2nd Half before being replaced by Ivan Andros after an injury.
MDI is now 1-1-1 and will play unbeaten George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill on Wednesday, September 12th at 4PM.
Hermon, 2-0-2 will play host to John Bapst on Wednesday, September 12th at 6PM.
