MDI Boys Down Presque Isle 72-52 [STATS]

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team downed Presque Isle, 72-52 in Aroostook County on Tuesday, December 30th.

MDI raced out to a 21-13 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter and led 47-23 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led 57-36 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by James Witham who had 31 points including 5 3-pointers, all in the 1st half. Dylan Stoll, the Big East Boy's Basketball Player of the Week had 13 points, including a 3-pointer. Kenneth Stillwell had 12 points. Preston Tripp had a pair of 3- pointers. MDI was 10-13 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle was led by Bodey McPherson who finished with 14 points, including 2 3-pointers. Cruze Casavant had 12 points with a 3-pointer. Kason Bua had 11 points, with 3 3-pointes. The Wildcats were 5-10 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 6-1. They will play in Newport against the Nokomis Warriors on Friday, January 2nd at 2 p.m.

Presque Isle is now 2-4. They are set to host the Hermon Hawks on Saturday, January 3rd at 4:30 p.m.
