MDI Boys Beat Old Town 77-49 [STATS]

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team beat the Old Town Coyotes 77-49 on Saturday night, December 27th at Mackenzie Gymnasium in Old Town.

The Coyotes led 19-15 in the 1st Quarter but MDI outscored Old Town 21-8 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 36-27 lead at the end of the 1st Half and put the game away in the 3rd Quarter outscoring the Coyotes 20-6 to lead 56-33.

Both MDI and Old Town drained 9 3-pointers in the game.

MDI was led by Dylan Stoll with 20 points, including 2 3-pointers. James Witham had 14 points with a 3-pointer. Preston Tripp had 10 points with 2 3's. Coe Thurston had 2 3-pointers.  Trevor Brophy and Lincoln Gray each had a 3-pointer. The Trojans were 14-22 from the free throw line.

Old Town was led by Charlie DeGrasse who had a game-high 22 points including 3 3-pointers. Alexander Bean had 9 points on 3 3's. Ethan Closson, Brandon Schanz and Ian Whitmore each had a 3-pointer. The Coyotes were 4-6 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 5-1. They will play at Presque Isle on Tuesday, December 30th at 1:30 p.m.
