MDI Baseball Shuts Out GSA 6-0

The MDI Baseball Team shut out the George Stevens Academy Eagles in Blue Hill on Tuesday, May 4th 6-0.

Quinten Pileggi was on the mound for MDI and pitched a gem, going the distance and allowing just 1 hit. He struck out 12 and walked 2 batters.

MDI banged out 9 hits. Stevie Gilbert has 2 singles and drove in 2 runs.

Porter Isaacs had a single and drove in 2 runs.

Sam Mitchell had a double and drove in a run.

Andrew Clark, Logan Beckwith and Brady Renault each had a single.

The Trojans stole 4 bases, with Gilbert, Plieggi, Renault and Clark all swiping a base.

MDI is now 4-2 and plays host to Washington Academy on Friday, May 7th at 4:30 p.m.
