MDI Baseball Outlasts Foxcroft Academy 8-7 in Extra Innings
The MDI Trojans traveled to Dover-Foxcroft on Thursday, May 16th and beat the Ponies 8-7 in 9 innings. The score was tied 3-3 at the end of the 7th inning. Each team added a run in the 8th inning, but MDI outscored Dover Foxcroft Academy 4-3 in the 9th inning to come away with the win.
Sam Keblinsky pitched the 9 inning complete game for the Trojans allowing 10 hits and 7 runs, 4 of which were earned. He struck out 9 and walked 3.
The Ponies used 3 pitchers. Doug Kane started throwing 7 innings and allowing 8 hits, and 3 runs. He struck out 4 and walked 3. Jeremy Richard pitched 1.1 inning allowing 5 runs on 5 hits, striking out 2 and walking 2. Logan Martin got the last 2 outs, allowing 1 hit.
Drew Shea led the Trojan's hitting attack going 3-4 with 2 doubles. Keblinsky helped his own cause with 2 hits, including a double. Nick Corson and Brady Renault each had 2 singles. Porter Isaacs had a double and single. Logan Beckwith, Sam Mitchell and Grady Webster-Wellman each had a single. The Trojans ended up with 14 hits.

MDI now 7-5 is in 4th place in the Class B North Heal Points and next plays at home on Tuesday, May 21st at 4:30 when they will host the Bucksport Golden Bucks.
