The Hermon Hawks Baseball Team jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the end of 2 innings in Bar Harbor on Tuesday, April 30th and beat the MDI Trojans 8-3.

Sam Keblinsky took the loss for MDI, allowing 8 runs, although just 2 were earned, as MDI committed 5 errors in the game. He struck out 4 and didn't walk a batter while giving up 7 hits. Porter Isaacs came on in relief, and held the Hawks to just 1 hit in 3 innings, striking out 5 and walking 1.

Jacques LaBonte picked up the win for Hermon going 4.1 innings allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 6 and walked 3. Keith Pomeroy pitched 2.2 innings limiting MDI to just 2 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 4.

Quentin Pileggi had 3 hits for MDI, going 3-3 with a RBI and Nick Corson was 2-4 with a double and 2 runs batted in.

For Hermon Adam Rush had 2 singles. Nathan Allain and Kent Johnson each doubled. Pomeroy, Garrett Trask and River Mullen each had a single.

MDI, now 3-2 will host Washington Academy on Wednesday, May 1st at 4:30

Hermon, 5-1 hosts John Bapst on Thursday, May 2nd at 4:30.
