A day after the game was originally supposed to be played but was postponed due to snow, the MDI Trojans defeated the John Bapst Crusaders 11-1 on Wednesday, April 27th. MDI is now 2-1 while John Bapst is 1-2

Dylan Collin pitched a mercy-rule shortened game, throwing 5 innings allowing just 2 hits, while striking out 8. He walked 1 and the lone run that John Bapst scored was unearned.

MDI scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning. Jacob Mitchell singled and then Ezra Johnson walked. Nick Stanley walked and then Stanley Grierson singled driving in 2 runs. Seth Young drove in 2 runs with a single.

In the 4th inning, Mac Shea singled, Jacob Mitchell singled and Nick Stanley tripled driving in 2 runs. Grierson's hit drove in Stanley and MDI was up 7-1

In the bottom of the 5th inning, Mac Shea singled driving in a run, Ezra Johnson singled driving in a run and Geoffrey Hanscom's single drove in the final 2 runs.

MDI is back on the field on Thursday, April 28th. MDI plays at Hermon at 4:30 and John Bapst's next game is under the lights, at 7 PM on Saturday, April 30th at Husson University against the Old Town Coyotes.
