Mainer Bowls First Ever 301 Game After Pin Setter Malfunction (Satire)

I was sent another story from the Modern Philosopher explaining how a Mainer bowled the first ever 301 game!

The record score of 301, set at the Bangor Black Bear Bowling Alley, occurred when the pin setter on lane #6 accidentally set up an 11th pin for Artie’s final frame.   After Knox bowled another strike to complete the perfect game, his computer registered the heretofore never seen score of 301.

Marcus Quimby, the owner of the alley, came over to investigate.  “We checked the replay on the lane’s camera, and discovered there were, in fact, eleven pins set up for that final frame.  Artie bowled a 301!”
