Local Middle Schools Shine at State Vocal Jazz Festival

The State Vocal Jazz Festival is taking place at Lawrence High School in Fairfield this weekend and Friday night was the night for the local middle schools to shine.

From Facebook reports I'm happy to shared that the Conners Emerson group were awarded a Gold Rating and 2nd place. They also received commendation for Outstanding Choreography and Soren Hopkins Goff was awarded a commendation for Outstanding Musicianship.

The Ellsworth Elementary Middle School was awarded a Silver Rating as were the Trenton Trentones and the choir from Pemetic in Southwest Harbor. Ellsworth's Caleb Leathers was awarded a commendation for Outstanding Musicianship.

Saturday the High Schools will compete and hopefully we will have results to share.
