July 10 – Pina Colada Day

Today, July 10th is Pina Colada Day! It's funny but no matter when and where I drink one, I'm instantly transported to the tropics in my mind! It must be the smell of the coconut!

There's nothing like a cold pina colada! Here's a great recipe for a pina colada

1 part White Rum
1 part Coconut Cream
3 parts Pineapple Juice

Pour everything in the blender with a cup of ice. Blend. Pour into a tall glass and top with whipped cream, a slice of pineapple and cherry.

Of course this is just as good without the alcohol, and just add more coconut cream and pineapple juice to make up for the rum you're omitting
