Jim Nobil Memorial Howl-O-Run to Benefit the SPCA of Hancock County October 26
Mark your calendars, and start planning your costume for you and your dog! It's the 1st Annual Jim Nobil Memorial Howl-O-Run, Saturday October 26th to benefit the SPCA of Hancock County.
The event will take place at the Woodlawn Museum, Gardens and Park at the Black House in Ellsworth. Participants will run or walk on a wooded trail decorated with Jack O'Lanterns. Well behaved dogs on a leash are invited and costumes for the dogs and their humans are encouraged!
There will be prizes for top adult, child and canine runners as well as prizes for best costumes. The 1st place runner will receive a car detailing package from Stanley Subaru.
The cost to participate is $20 per person and $15 for children. You can register online or on the day of the event.
Jim Nobil was the former SPCA Board President. He served as President of the SPCA of Hancock County for many years and was instrumental in raising the funds to build the current SPCA shelter in Trenton, which opened its doors in 2010. Jim passed away in 2013 but his wife Lynn, and daughter Kiersten Persoff are still active with the SPCA
