If you have considered donating to the Jesup Memorial Library, doing so between August 10th and August 30th will pay dividends for the Library! In honor of the Jesup turning 106 on August 30th, the Board of Directors would like to raise $100 for every year of operation and they are matching donations up to $10,600.

All money raised will go directly to support all that the Jesup offers on a daily basis. As a private nonprofit, the Jesup has served as the public library in Bar Harbor since it opened in 1911. The Town of Bar Harbor provides less than 15 percent of the operating funds, while endowment funds provide another 36 percent. The rest comes from generous individual and business donors.

The Jesup offers free 24 hour Wi-Fi and access to public computers, plus thousands of books and e-books, music, movies and even a telescope to be checked out.

Donations may be made online at www.jesuplibrary.org, in person at the library, mailed to 34 Mount Desert Street, Bar Harbor Maine 04609 or by credit card over the phone at 207-288-4245.
