The Boston Red Sox took a 2-1 lead in the Best of 7 American League Championship Series, beating the Houston Astros 8-2 in Houston on Tuesday night, October 16th, behind the pitching of Nathan Eovaldi and Jackie Bradley Jr.'s grand slam homer.

Eovaldi pitched 6 innings allowing just 2 runs on 6 hits. He struck out 4 and walked 2. Ryan Brasier, Matt Barnes, Joe Kelly and Eduardo Rodriguez pitched 3 shutout innings just allowing 1 hit.

Steven Pearce hit a solo homer in the 6th inning to put the Red Sox in the lead and Jackie Bradley Jr. put the game away in the 8th inning with a grand slam homer.

Game 4 takes place Wednesday night in Houston. Rick Porcello is scheduled to pitch for Boston. The pregame starts at 7:30 and 1st pitch at 8:39 on AM 1370 WDEA.
