Red Sox Beat Orioles 4-3 [VIDEO]
The Boston Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 on Monday, August 25th in Baltimore as Jarren Duran hit a game-winning 3-run homer in the 5th inning.
Duran's homer was his 13th of the season, and came with 1 out, and Boston trailing 3-1. The home run extended Duran's consecutive on-base streak to 19 games.
Roman Anthony led off the game with a home run, his 6th of the season. He finished the game 2-4.
Masataka Yoshida was 2-4 and Connor Wong was 2-4 with a double.
Boston was 1-7 with runners in scoring position. They left 5 runners on base and struck out 11 times.
On the mound the Red Sox turned to their bullpen as Walker Buehler, who's turn it would have been had been demoted to the bullpen and pitched Sunday night.
Brennan Bernardino started and went 1.0 inning. Richard Fitts picked up the win and is now 2-4 and went 4.0 innings, allowing 2 hits and 3 runs, striking out 6 and walking 3. He left in the 6th inning with bicep tightness. Steven Matz pitched 2 innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2. Garret Whitlock struck out the side in the 8th inning and Aroldis Chapman picked up his 25th save of the season, pitching the 9th inning.

Boston is 72-60 and are still 5.0 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays in 2nd place in the AL East. They own the top American League Wild Card Playoff spot.
Boston and Baltimore will play game 2 of the 4-game series on Tuesday night with the pregame starting at 5:35 and 1st pitch at 6:35 on WDEA AM 1370.
