Islander Explorer 2021 Routes

After not running at all in 2020 because of the Pandemic, the Island Explorer will return in 2021, albeit with much limited routes.

Some routes will run much more frequently, while others not at all as the Island Explorer will be limiting passengers on the buses to comply with social distancing. Summer service begins June 23rd and will last through the last week of August when Fall service will begin through October 11

Here are Summer routes and times

Bar Harbor Road - Will not run in 2021

Hull's Cove Visitor Center - Will run every 10 minutes outbound from the Village Green beginning at 7:30 a.m. and inbound beginning at 7:45 a.m. The last outbound bus will leave the Village Green and 6 p.m. and the last inbound bus will leave the Visitor Center at 6:15 p.m.

Loop Road

Jordan Pond Route - Will not serve Northeast Harbor in 2021

Brown Mountain Route - Will not run in 2021

Southwest Harbor Route - Serving the Campgrounds and Tremont and Bass Harbor will not run in 2021

Trenton - Will not run in 2021

Blackwoods - Will not run in 2021
