Island Connections Needs Drivers – Informational Meeting Tuesday August 3 9:30 a.m.

Do you have a few hours a week or even a month to help fellow Mainers get to the doctors or to the store? If so Island Connections would love to talk to you!

Representatives from Island Connections would love to meet with prospective drivers on Tuesday, August 3rd at Milk and Honey, 3 Old Firehouse Lane in Northeast Harbor at 9:30 a.m. They'll even treat you to a coffee and pastry. Rain date Wednesday August 4th.

Island Connections provides free transportation to seniors and those with physical disabilities through a network of volunteer drivers. They also deliver Meals on Wheels on Mount Desert Island, including Bar Harbor. In fact, they delivered 16,000 meals to Island residents in the last year.
