How Big Was the Biggest Lobster Ever Caught? Huuuuuge! [PHOTOS]

Check out this massive Lobster caught off the coast of New England over the weekend!

This photo made it to the front page of Reddit and Imgur, but there aren't that many details about where it came from.

According to the Maine Department of Marine Resources, the record for the largest documented lobster goes to one caught off the coast of Nova Scotia in 1977. It weighed 44 pounds, 6 ounces and was estimated to be over 100 years old!

That's an amazing record.

Of course, this isn't counting the famous Lobstermobile, now over at the Maine Maritime Museum, that has been known to roll around Maine in the summers!
