With the closures of the AOS 91 schools for a minimum of 2 weeks effective Monday, March 16th, many parents are thinking about childcare, entertaining their children and more. Here are some things to know and some resources...

AOS 91 Administrators are working on a plan for remote-instruction so the days will count as learning-days. As more information becomes available we will share it.

Schools are working on continuing to feed those who were eligible for free and reduced meals. As more information becomes available we will share it.

This might not be right for all, but Gary Allen, the Director of Crow Athletics has offered to lead runs leaving at 3 p.m. from the Mount Desert Elementary School 5 days a week. Note - This is not affiliated with AOS 91

For those who want to go to Church, without actually going to Church, AM 1370 WDEA broadcasts the services from the First Congregational Church in Ellsworth Sunday mornings at 10 am. This is also available online, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa device. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland has a list of Churches that are streaming Masses. Prayer is good, especially in times like this.

Open Table MDI is still offering their free meals. Meals are served every Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Bar Harbor, and in Northeast and Southwest Harbors on select dates

Remember there are lots and lots of college students home, much earlier than expected. If you are a business, now might be a time to get a jump start on hiring!
