High Street Northbound Lane Closed in Ellsworth [UPDATE]

July 25 UPDATE 3 p.m. - All repairs have been completed and the road is open

The City of Ellsworth has informed us that part of High Street in Ellsworth, near Cadillac Mountain Sports is closed because of the need to make emergency road repairs.

The right-hand lane going northbound (heading towards Bangor) on High Street/Route 3 is closed, south of Cadillac Mountain Sports, for approximately 75 feet. A storm drain basin cover has failed and requires emergency repair. The lane will be closed throughout the day so repairs can take place. Drivers are asked to drive cautiously and to give space to the road crew.

This will obviously back-up traffic. Please avoid the area if possible. Plan accordingly to give yourself extra time to get through the area and give as much space as possible to the public works crew affecting the repair.
