Here’s Your Sign [PHOTOS]

This is a special time of the year! The time of the year when the Island Community and Ellsworth celebrate their athletes by putting signs up on the telephone poles on the way to Bangor!  It's one of the reasons why I love covering MDI and Ellsworth sports... The community is so great at supporting the kids!

This year those tasked with attaching the signs had an extra hard job with all the snowbanks! Of course you can't have tourney time without the obligatory sign at the head of the Island

From Mount Desert Island to Trenton there were basketballs with all the MDI Basketball player's names.

Then there were swimming signs! MDI swimmers were all represented as they swam in the State Meet.

They certainly made waves and turned heads in the State Meet with the Girl's finishing 4th and the Boy's 5th.

And the Ellsworth Swimmers were well represented too! There were signs for all the swimmers swimming in the State Meet from Ellsworth to Bangor

I know there were signs for the MDI and Ellsworth Cheerleaders earlier in the month and I'm sorry I couldn't take more pictures, but there was a lot of traffic Tuesday afternoon!
