The Hancock County Technical Center's Students and staff are down in Atlanta for the National SkillsUSA competition and have been kept very busy! Here's the latest report from Meghan Stubbs!

Tuesday was orientation day for all competitors. Students checked in, set up, put forward portfolios, and received their competition time slots. State officers attended delegate sessions. Pin trading is in full effect and our hats were broken out tonight!
Tuesday night  they enjoyed opening ceremonies where they heard from poet and speaker Amena Brown, the CUTEST and most fun Atlanta Drum Academy as seen on America's Got Talen, Chris Gardner, speaker, best selling author, and director and story writer of the pursuit of happiness, keynote speaker, Cory James, and of course lots of cheering and presentations from SkillsUSA.
Competitions start Wednesday and HCTC's students are prepared and HCTC's staff couldn’t be more proud! Michelle Cote will also be celebrated at a breakfast!
