The Hancock County Retired Teacher's Association will be meeting on Tuesday, November 14th at 11:30 a.m. at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth.

If you wish to reserve a lunch for our meeting the cost is $5; please call ahead 664-6016 by Monday, Nov. 13. Be sure to let them know that you are attending the Retired Teachers’ meeting. Lunch is served at 12:00 noon. Lunch will be Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich, Veggie, Fruit and Dessert.

Also remember to bring your used books to sell at a “silent auction” for the benefit of the Scholarship Fund, if you wish.

Following lunch at the Bryant E. Moore Senior Center, there will be a tour the Old Hancock County Jail, built in 1885 by Portland architect Francis Fassett, the home the Ellsworth Historical Society, at 40 State Street. The Jail is located just down the hill from the Senior Center on the other side of the street.

Please bring a friend tot he meeting and tour.
