Ellsworth's School Superintendent Dan Higgins and Ellsworth High School Principal Dan Clifford introduced the new Athletic Director, Josh Frost, to the Ellsworth School Committee Tuesday night, July 28th. Frost replaced Jay Brown, who retired at the end of the 2014- 2015 school year. Brown had been the Athletic Director since 1999.

Josh Frost is an Ellsworth native, and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in social science from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2002.

Frost taught Math and was the Athletic Director at Deer Isle-Stonington Middle School from 2010 to 2015. He was nominated as the Hancock County Teacher of the Year in 2014. Frost taught and was the Athletic Director at St. James School in Biddeford before his tenure at Deer Isle-Stonington. He has coached numerous sports and has 13 years of teaching experience.

Josh resides in Ellsworth with his wife and three children.
