Students from around the state are invited to pick up free prom dresses this Saturday at Washington Academy's Prom Dress Boutique.

WABI-TV reports donations of gently used prom dresses have been pouring into Washington Academy and organizers say there seem to be more than ever for this year's giveaway.Organizers say they get donations from all over the state, and even from alumni that live all around the world. Donations of gently used prom dresses and accessories are being accepted at the school right up until the start of the event on Saturday, April 6th.

The Prom Dress Boutique will be open at Washington Academy from 10 to 1 on Saturday, and dresses will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. So getting there early will offer a bigger selection. And all the dresses are free, as well as a selection of shoes and accessories. A seamstress will even be there, to do any needed alterations. Hair and make-up professionals will be on-hand, as well, to help complete the prom look. For the guys, some folks who rent tuxes will be there to measure for tuxes and they'll be raffling off a tuxedo worth about a hundred dollars.

Again, the Washington Academy Prom Boutique is open to students from around the state, so Saturday might be the perfect day for an elegant road trip.
