Former Trojan Lily Cook Playing Women’s Lax at MMA
Former MDI Trojan Lily Cook seems to have found a home for herself on the lacrosse field for Maine Maritime Academy!
Cook, who is now a Junior had run Cross Country at MMA and played 3 games in the pandemic shortened season in 2020. Last year there was no lacrosse because of COVID. But in 2022 she has come into her own.
On Saturday, March 19th, Cook helped lead the Mariners to a 13-6 win over the Thomas College Terriers in Maine Maritime Academy's home opener. In that game Cook scored 4 goals for her 1st career hat-trick.
The week before on March 12th Cook scored her 2nd goal of the season in a 17-5 loss at Mass Maritime.
Cook and the Mariners travel to Thomas College on Saturday, March 26th at 1 p.m. They play next at home in Castine on Wednesday March 30th against Husson under the lights at 7 p.m.
