Former MDI Trojan Lelia Weir and Hermon Hawk Sydney Gallop Named to GNAC All-Rookie Womens Soccer Team

Former MDI Trojan Lelia Weir and former Hermon Hawk Sydney Gallop, playing their 1st year at St. Joseph's College were selected to the Great Northeast Atlantic Conference Womens Soccer All-Rookie Team.

In addition, Weir was selected to the All-Conference 3rd Team.

According to the release by the St. Josephs Sports Information Office

"Weir netted three goals – including a pair of game clinchers – and three assists for nine total points this season. One of eight players to start all 20 games for the Monks, the freshman midfielder was a pivotal player in the heart of the pitch and was terrific on corner kicks during the 2022 campaign."

Gallop "scored three goals and divvied out an assist for seven points in 16 games as a freshman forward. Strong on the ball with a knack for finding the back of the net, Gallop figures to be an important player for the Monks as the team looks to fill the shoes of the departing 2023 senior class."
