Former MDI Trojan Derek Collin Named NAC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

It was quite a week for former MDI Trojan, Derek Collin! Collin who is a first year student at Husson University was named the North Atlantic Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week.

According to the press release "Collin led an explosive second half in a setback against Bates on Wednesday, scoring 14 points in 16 minutes to help Husson outscore the Bobcats in the second stanza. In total, Collin tallied 18 points, on 61.5 percent shooting, and eight rebounds in the loss. He continued to display confidence under the glass, grabbing a team-high seven rebounds, and added two points, two assists, and two steals, against Saint Joseph's College (Maine)."
