
First Hoop Pays Off For MDI High School
The First Hoop Free Throw Shooting Contest paid off for MDI High School this year, to the tune of $2650!

Last night, both contestants made their free throws, and at halftime of the MDI-Ellsworth Boys game, representatives from First National Bank presented a giant check, for $2650 to Athletic Director Bunky Dow and Leslyn Shea, President of the MDI Sports Boosters.
The First Hoop Program is in 9 schools in Maine (including Ellsworth and George Stevens Academy in Hancock County). Schools can earn up to $150 per game (18 games - maximum $2700)
