Trevor Story hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 9th inning, to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 2-1 win over the Miami Marlins on Friday night, August 15th at Fenway Park.

It was Boston's 10th walk-off win of the season, which leads the majors. They are 5-3 in their Fenway Greens, with all 5 of their wins walk-offs.

Boston only managed 3 hits.

Story finished the night  2-4. He has 15 runs batted in, in his last 15 games. He also stole his 21st base of the season. His 21st successful consecutive steal in the longest streak by a Red Sox player, surpassing Julio Lugo's 20 in 2007.

Alex Bregman had Boston's other hit, a RBI double in the 6th inning, tying the game at 1-1.

Roman Anthony walked twice, in the 6th and 9th inning, scoring both of Boston's runs.

Lucas Giolito allowed at least 1 base runner in each of his 7 innings, but allowed just 1 run. He struck out 5, allowing 7 hits and 1 walk, in 6.1 innings.

Aroldis Chapman picked up the win, and is 4-2, pitching the 9th inning.

Boston is now 67-56 and in 2nd place in the AL East, 5.0 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays. The Red Sox own the 2nd Wild Card playoff spot.

Boston and Miami will play the middle-game of the 3-game series Saturday afternoon, August 16th. Pregame is at 3:10 with the 1st pitch at 4:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
