The hottest team in baseball, the Boston Red Sox won their 7th straight game Tuesday night, beating the Kansas City Royals 6-2 at Fenway Park.

Boston is 24-8 in their last 32 games since June 28th, and are a season-high 13 games above .500.

Garrett Crochet picked up the win, going 7.0 innings and allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 8 and walked 1. He improved to 13-4 on the season.

Greg Weissert pitched the 8th inning and Jordan Hicks pitched the 9th inning.

Trevor Story was 2-4 with a 2-run single in the 6th inning. He also had a RBI single in the 7th inning.

Wilyer Abreu was 2-4 with a double, and a 2-run single.

Jarren Duran was 2-4 with a double, driving in a run.

Romy Gonzalez was 2-4 and is batting .301 on the season.

Boston is now 64-51 and in 2nd place in the AL East, 3.0 games behind Toronto. The Red Sox has only 1 series left with the Blue Jays, in Toronto, September 23-25.

The Red Sox and the Royals will play the final game of the 3-game series on Wednesday night, August 6th with the pregame starting at 6:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
