Feeling Hopeful in Ellsworth

After successfully raising $40,000 the Hopeful sign was installed on the former JB Atlantic building on Main Street in Ellsworth on Friday, September 27th.

The sign will be lit on Sunday night, September 29th at 5 p.m. and the public is welcome! The sign will be lit year round at night.

Charlie Hewitt, a Lewiston native, created the sign and will turn on the switch lighting up the sign.

There are Hopeful signs in Portland, Lewiston, Bangor, Augusta, Rumford, Greene and Bath. Future signs are planned for Millinockey, Presque Isle, Waterville and hopefully more towns and cities in Maine.
