9:00 p.m. UPDATE- There are 37,620 Emera Maine customers without power, 5,884 in Hancock County and 24,344 in Penobscot County. If you are without power as of 10 p.m. you should plan on being without power overnight!

Service has been restored to approximately half of those without power since the peak early Friday morning. Emera Maine line crews will continue working through the night to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

4:38 p.m. UPDATE- There are 58,127 Emera Maine customers without power, 10,594 in Hancock County and 37,296 in Penobscot county.

If you are without power and have medical needs you are advised to make a plan in case power isn't restored by tonight. Restoration is going to take multiple days.

A list will be posted on Saturday of areas they are working and plan to have power restored. Another update will be issued tonight at 9 p.m.

11:15 a.m. UPDATE - There are 71,817 Emera Maine customers without power with 13,585 in Hancock County and 46,308 in Penobscot County.

Emera Maine tells us that "After addressing public safety issues, repairs are focused on damaged transmission infrastructure. Restoration efforts are expected to continue into the weekend, and more specific estimated restoration times will be shared once damage is assessed."

Over 30 per cent of Emera Maine's customers were without power on Friday, April 10th from the Spring storm . As of 7:30 a.m. there were 51,600 customers without power

The heavy wet snow toppled trees and branches, taking down power lines throughout the service territory.

Emera Maine advised that a full complement of line crews will be doing damage assessment and repairs on Friday morning, and more precise information about restoration times will be available as the storm ends and damage assessments are completed
