Ellsworth Tennis Sweeps Presque Isle

The Ellsworth Girls Tennis Team defeated Presque Isle 3-2 while the Boys Team defeated Presque Isle 3-1 on Friday, May 17th.

The Girls winners were Girls winners the 1st doubles team of Emma Whitney and Jocelyn Boudreau (8-5) , 1st singles Brianna Abbott (8-4) and 3rd singles Bailey Clarke won a forfeit.

On the Boys side, the 1st singles match of Norman Jodrey was cancelled due to the wet courts. Boys winners were the 1st doubles team of Keegan Grey and Will Morrin (8-4) and 2nd doubles team of Lucas Wheeler and Darren Easler (8-3) Ryan White won a tight 9-7 match to give Ellsworth the win.

The Ellsworth Girls are now 8-2 and in 3rd place in the MPA Standings. The Boys Team is 4-6.

The Ellsworth Teams will play host to Old Town on Monday, May 20th for Senior Day. The games may be played outdoors at 4PM but if weather forces, the games may be moved to the Ellsworth Tennis Center and could start as early as 12Noon.
