Ellsworth Swimming Sweeps Carlisle

The Ellsworth Swim Team took the long trip to Presque Isle on Saturday, January 5th to compete against the combined Caribou/Presque Isle/Maine School of Mathematics Swim Team. The Ellsworth Boys won 134-20 and the Girls won 119-31.

According to Coach Jim Goodman

After a 203 mile and four plus hour drive, the EHS swimmers put in some creditable swims and achieved 14 more State qualifying times to the team best times list.  Many of the swimmers achieved times that were on target for this part of the season.  Carlisle were awesome hosts and swam well overall demonstrating that swimming continues to have a small but strong following in the county.  This small Carlisle team keeps this goal of providing competitive swimming in the county alive.

The Ellsworth Swim Team will compete in Bar Harbor against the MDI Trojans on Friday, January 11th at the MDI YMCA with the meet starting at 6PM
